The Wellness Council of Boyertown is excited to be hosting our 6th annual Kids Celebrity Chef cooking competition. The mission of this competition is to encourage children to take an interest in the food they eat and to seek out healthy, fun recipes that they can cook with their parents.

Recipe submissions should be handed in to your child’s teacher, and will be accepted through Monday, February 13, 2017.  The recipes will be evaluated by a registered dietitian and members of the Wellness Council of Boyertown. Finalists will be notified the week of February 20 and the cook-off will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, during the Boyertown Community Health and Wellness Fair at Boyertown Junior High West.  Dishes will be voted on by all who attend the Health Fair, as well as by a panel of celebrity judges from the Boyertown area.  Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and a special Judges' Choice award will be given to the finalist whose recipe scores the highest with our panel of celebrity judges for both taste and presentation.  The six finalists will receive a kid-friendly healthy cookbook and embroidered apron on the day of the event.  Every student who submits a recipe will receive a thank-you gift and certificate of participation from the Wellness Council of Boyertown.  The grand prize winner will win a BIKE ($100 value)

Recipes will be accepted in the following categories:
Appetizers/Snacks:  soups, dips, salads, after-school snacks
